SMITH Company is 3 and We're Ready to Celebrate 🎉 🎉🎉

Three years ago this month, I officially launched SMITH Company. I was getting tired of feeling undervalued in corporate America, and I’ve always been an entrepreneur at heart. Since the beginning, I’ve been on a mission to help female executives and business owners transform their businesses by shifting their sales mindset. As I celebrate my business’ third birthday, I can’t help but notice the parallels between turning three as a business and turning three as, well, a 3-year-old.

Just like a toddler who moves from wobbly steps to walking independently and confidently, I feel like I’m finally coming into my own with my business and things are starting to gel.

I’m able to walk independently because I’ve spent A LOT of time asking who, what, where, when and why questions about my business. In the same way a persistent 3-year-old asks why to gain a better understanding of the world, I’ve spent the last three years doing a deep dive into my why behind starting SMITH co.

Having gained a deeper understanding of my why and adopting a more intentional approach, I've noticed a shift in how I navigate the business landscape.

Similar to how a three-year-old notices other children and joins them in play as a developmental milestone, I now feel more confident in recognizing and connecting with like-minded entrepreneurs and professionals.

Although I’m a solo entrepreneur, I don’t need to do everything myself. I can find great experts to work with that make my business ‌stronger and I can also create some amazing strategic partnerships. By embracing collaboration and recognizing the awesome-ness of others, we can elevate each other's success.

It’s been an interesting journey and it will continue to stay interesting during the next three years and beyond. I wouldn’t be here without the support of my partners, network, coaches, friends and most importantly my husband. Just like raising a child, it takes a village to raise and grow a company.
